BankID identification

What is BankID?

BankID is a project of the Czech Banking Association, that aims to make the most of the advanced capabilities of banks in verifying your identity. At your request, banks provide this information to third parties - public administration and commercial entities.

Main benefit

Signi users do not have to do anything extra to use the BankID function. There is no need to integrate anything, everything works automatically within a few moments. Documents for signing are sent from Signi, just as before. In addition to verifying their identity through 2FA (2-factor SMS and biometric signing) or Signi identification (according to AML), signers now have another option of how to verify and sign via their BankID.

How identification works - step by step

1. FOR THE PROPOSER

a) After uploading the document and specifying the counterparty, select BankID from the "Verification and other" menu:

b) Proceed to the content of the document, where you will enter the signature fields and submit. At this point, a notification will be sent to those signers for whom identification is required.

2. FOR THE VERIFYING COUNTERPARTY

When you receive the notification email, click on the To identification link.

Identification process

a) Once redirected, you will be asked to select a bank to verify your identity.

b) Once you have selected your bank, you will be asked to login to your bank account.

c) After logging in, you will be asked to confirm your login through your mobile app.

d) After confirming, you will be asked to the transfer of your personal data (optional).

g) After this confirmation, an automated email will be sent to the Proposer who will review your BankID verification and approve or reject it.

3. FOR THE PROPOSER AFTER IDENTIFICATION

a) When the notification email arrives, continue by clicking View identification result. Alternatively you can find the document in the application and select Verification on the left under the document title.

b) Once all identification data is displayed, you have the option to approve or reject the identification.

  • If you reject, please provide a reason, which will then be sent with a notification to the email of the verifying counterparty, who will also be asked to correct / complete the information you requested.

  • If you approve, you will be asked to sign and then send the document to the already successfully verified counterparty for signing.
