Using placeholders within Signi

What is a placeholder?
A placeholder is a "command" that predefines the location of a signature within a document and thus makes sending a document in Signi more efficient.

How to insert placeholders into a document
First, open the document you want to sign in a program like Word, Pages, etc. and choose where you want to place the signature fields.

After selecting the positions, it is necessary to write the following "command(s)" in the document in the selected positions, depending on the number of signatories.

Commands:

signi-signature-0 - position of the first signer's signature

signi-signature-1 - position of the second signer's sigature

signi-signature-2 - position of the third signer’s signature

signi-signature-3 - position of the fourth signer’s signature

It is important that all commands are in lower case otherwise the application will not recognize them!

Then change the colour of the commands to white so that they do not show up on the document.

After changing the colour, save the document (.pdf, .docx, etc.).

Using the created document within Signi

After successfully saving the previously created document, all you have to do is upload it to the Signi application.

Click on the Create draft button and then tick the "Preserve the positions of the signature fields from the uploaded document" option and finally select the signatories as usual.

After that, click on the "Continue to the content of the document" button

Once the application created the preview of the document for you, you can see that the signature fields have been automatically placed.

As a last step, click on the "Continue to signature" button, sign the document and send it to the other party.
